President Volodymyr Zelensky said that, amid a growing global ballistic threat, the Ukrainian project Freja could become the basis for a joint European anti-ballistic defense system.
The head of state said this during a speech at a meeting of ambassadors, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
"One of the worst consequences of Russia’s war against Ukraine, as well as a consequence of Iranian tactics, is that a potential aggressor in the world sees how much harm ballistic weapons can inflict on human life. Therefore, the global ballistic threat will grow. And all anti-ballistic defense capabilities must grow as well. Our Freja can become a shared system for Europe that will provide integrated protection. Freja will be fast to produce and proven in war," he said.

Zelensky said that Ukraine is capable of producing the missile itself and the launcher, so, in his words, cooperation with European states and partner companies that have radars and sensors is crucial.
