Intel Corp's (NASDAQ:INTC) manufacturing comeback may have just crossed its biggest checkpoint yet—and it isn't about a new processor.
Instead, it's about the machine that built it.
ASML Holding N.V.
(NASDAQ:ASML) CEO Christophe Fouquet revealed Wednesday that Intel is already producing commercial chips using the company's most advanced lithography system, calling the achievement "a very important milestone." The comment marks a turning point for a technology that, until recently, was viewed as the future of semiconductor manufacturing rather than its present.
From Prototype To Production "Some of the product you buy today from Intel have been created with a High-NA machine," Fouquet told investors during ASML's earnings call.
