They cost more than the market average, but are considerably younger, have lower mileage and often come with better equipment.
Sales of used Chinese-brand cars are rising sharply in Slovakia. A total of 604 were sold in the first half of 2026, nearly twice as many as a year earlier and more than twenty times the number sold during the same period three years ago.
The figures come from an analysis by Aures Holdings, which operates the AAA Auto and Mototechna used-car dealership networks, the SITA newswire reported.
Used Chinese-brand vehicles accounted for approximately 0.3 percent of Slovakia’s used-car market. This placed Slovakia behind the Czech Republic, where their share was 0.4 percent, but ahead of Poland, where it was 0.2 percent.
Only 29 used Chinese cars were sold in Slovakia in the first half of 2023. The number rose to 105 a year later, 309 in 2025 and 604 this year.
