Drivers in central Greece are continuing to risk crossing a heavily damaged bridge near Larissa, despite the structure being partially collapsed during Storm Daniel in 2023 and considered unsafe.

Drone footage showed vehicles attempting to cross the Palaiopyrgos Bridge, which has remained out of service since the storm caused widespread destruction across the region.

The bridge once linked coastal communities in the municipalities of Tempi and Agia, but its collapse has disrupted local travel.

Some motorists continue to use the damaged crossing to avoid lengthy detours, while others take the national highway, adding dozens of kilometers to their journeys.
