Madurai district police have arrested 11 persons who were indulged in gambling and recovered ₹4.21 lakh from them near Chekkanoorani on Tuesday.A team of police conducted a surprise check near Ponnamangalam irrigation tank following a tip-off that a gang was involved in gambling with money.The police arrested 11 persons and also seized form them 14 mobile phones and 10 two-wheelers.Efforts are under way to arrest few more persons who had fled from the scene.
