A special team of police on Sunday arrested six youths with swords, air gun and 680 tablets that are being used as intoxicant at Chekkanoorani.Acting on a tip-off, a team of police rounded up a car near Karisalpatti. The police found a gang in possession of 11 swords and one air gun.Besides, the police also found them possessing two different pills that are used for treating epilepsy and as painkillers. The police said that the youths were using these pills as intoxicants.The police also seized a car and a motorbike from the accused.Among the arrested were K. Sibiyonraj (20) of R.S. Mangalam in Ramanathapuram, L. Logapandi (21), P. Nandakumar (21), M. Thennavan (20), S. Subash (25) and R. Vishal (19) of Usilampatti.Chekkanoorani police are investigating.
