Colonel Brian Padayachee, a senior investigator at the Investigative Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) denies allegations of leaking information to Major-General Feroz Khan and claims of a Khan-IDAC cabal within SAPS.

Senior investigator at Investigative Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) Colonel Brian Padayachee on Tuesday dismissed allegations that he leaked an ongoing criminal docket to senior Crime Intelligence officer Major-General Feroz Khan and disputed claims of a Khan-IDAC cabal in the directorate or SAPS.

Testifying at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, he also said the Khan he knew in Crime Intelligence was not the same person described in the evidence before the commission.

Khan was unable to appear before the commission after he was injured and hospitalised in a suspected assassination attempt last month.

He has been implicated in an alleged plot to oust former Crime Intelligence Inspector-General Isaac Dintwe. The alleged plot involved EFF leader Julius Malema and suspected tobacco smuggler Mohammed "Mo" Sayed.
