Join the Two Oceans Aquarium this Saturday at Monwabisi beach to remove litter. and donate a book to an underprivilege school.

A brilliant wave of change is coming to Monwabisi Beach this Saturday, and it only takes just over an hour to catch it.

To celebrate Mandela Day on 18 July, the Two Oceans Aquarium has launched an incredible challenge that turns everyday beach litter into a golden opportunity for local children. For every single person who rolls up their sleeves to join the "Trash Bash" beach clean-up, the aquarium will donate a beautiful ocean storybook to an underprivileged school or community library in Cape Town.

It means that simply by picking up plastic bottles, wrappers, and discarded straws for 67 minutes—honouring the 67 years Nelson Mandela spent fighting for justice—volunteers will be directly gifting the magic of reading to a child who needs it most.

The books being unlocked by this massive clean-up are part of the aquarium's famous Puppet Stories series, which are specially created to introduce children aged three to nine to the vibrant wonders of the marine world.
