Chelsea’s revolving door of talent keeps spinning. New manager Xabi Alonso confirmed during a press conference on July 13 that winger Alejandro Garnacho will leave Stamford Bridge this summer, barely a year after arriving from Manchester United for £40 million.

The Argentine attacker managed just 8 goals and 4 assists across 43 appearances in his debut season.

What Alonso actually said

Alonso was characteristically direct about the situation. Garnacho is simply not part of his plans going forward.

The decision was reportedly mutual, and Garnacho has already been excluded from preseason training as both sides work toward a clean break.
