The 22-year-old Argentine winger, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Manchester United on August 30, 2025, has found himself frozen out of the first team picture at Chelsea. Now, under new manager Xabi Alonso, Garnacho isn’t even training with the squad as the club actively shops him for a permanent transfer valued at €50 million, roughly £45 million for Premier League buyers.
From Old Trafford frustration to Stamford Bridge exile
Before Chelsea, Garnacho was already vocal about his displeasure at Manchester United, where he was limited to a substitute role during the May 2025 Europa League final. His relationship with then-United manager Ruben Amorim had reportedly deteriorated, making a departure feel inevitable rather than optional.
Chelsea stepped in as the landing spot, with a fixed fee of £40 million, approximately $54 million. He was 21 at the time and signed a contract running until 2032.
