Chelsea has slapped a €50 million price tag on Alejandro Garnacho and is actively working toward a permanent transfer, shutting the door on any loan arrangements.
Garnacho arrived at Stamford Bridge from Manchester United in August 2025 for a reported £40 million plus a 10% sell-on clause. His impact was minimal during his debut campaign, and Chelsea’s willingness to part ways reflects how quickly the calculus can shift in modern football.
The deal structure and what Chelsea wants
Chelsea’s approach here is straightforward: permanent bids only. The club has reportedly omitted Garnacho from its “not for sale” list.
The €50 million valuation represents a premium over what Chelsea paid. Chelsea bought Garnacho for £40 million (approximately €47 million at the time) and is now asking for €50 million. The sell-on clause owed to Manchester United complicates the math. United would be entitled to 10% of any sale, meaning Chelsea’s net return on a €50 million deal would be closer to €45 million.
