The Madlanga Commission has criticised the recurring pattern of witnesses submitting sick notes at the eleventh hour.
The Madlanga Commission has slammed a recurring pattern of witnesses submitting "useless" medical certificates to avoid testifying, after IDAC head Andrea Johnson was rushed to the hospital and submitted a non-specific sick note.
Commission chair, Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga, criticised the medical certificate presented on Johnson's behalf, saying it failed to provide sufficient information to justify postponing her testimony and reflected a troubling trend that has repeatedly disrupted the inquiry.
"It's one of those useless so-called medical certificates," Madlanga said during Monday's proceedings.
IDAC head Andrea Johnson has been rushed to hospital, her lawyers told the Madlanga Commission on Monday.
