As of the morning of July 13, Russian strikes have left users without power in three regions; due to severe weather, 29 settlements in two regions remain without electricity.
According to Ukrinform, the NPC Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.
“The enemy continues to attack Ukraine’s civilian energy infrastructure. As a result of Russian shelling, there are new power outages in the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions as of this morning. Where safety conditions allow, emergency repair work is already underway,” the statement reads.
Due to a thunderstorm and strong winds, 29 settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions were completely or partially without power as of this morning. Regional power company crews are repairing damaged power lines.
As of 9:30 a.m. on Monday, electricity consumption was 2.4% lower than on the previous business day, Friday, July 10. The power system operator attributes this downward trend in consumption to a drop in air temperature in most regions.
