—Backs state police, urges Christians into politics

The Archbishop of Ondo Province and Bishop of Akure Diocese, Most Rev. Simeon Borokini, has called for the prosecution of all persons involved in the alleged financial mismanagement at the Presidential Intervention and Promotion Council, PFIPC.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the Second Session of the 15th Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Akure at the Cathedral Church of St. David, Akure, Borokini said corruption was not new in Nigeria but must be met with transparency and justice whenever it is exposed.

Bishop Borokini said “Corruption has been there. And now that this one is exposed, those who are involved should be brought to book and let justice be done.
