The Ondo State Scholars Arena for Development Initiative has called on President Bola Tinubu to order an independent investigation into allegations surrounding the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) and reports that a purportedly fake government agency received a N1.3billion allocation in the federal budget.

In an open letter addressed to the President and signed by its General Secretary, Omoyoloye Oloruntimilehin Julius, and Convener, Odofin Oluwafemi, the group said the allegations, although yet to be proven, were serious enough to warrant a transparent and comprehensive investigation.

The group, whose membership comprises professors, lawyers, engineers, medical practitioners, accountants, entrepreneurs, academics, researchers, public policy experts, and other professionals, said it is committed to promoting good governance and accountability.
