Gasoline prices in Russia are rising rapidly amid intensified Ukrainian long-range strikes on Russian oil refineries and other fuel infrastructure facilities.
According to Ukrinform, this is stated in a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Analysts cited data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), which showed that consumer prices for gasoline rose by an average of 6.88% in June, following significantly slower growth in previous months.
Specifically, in June, AI-92 gasoline rose in price by 7.3%, AI-95 by 6.7%, AI-98 by 3.1%, and diesel fuel by 7.1%.
According to Rosstat, in June 2026, gasoline was 19.9% more expensive than a year earlier. At the same time, prices rose by 11.13% in 2024 and by 10.78% in 2025.
