MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon or habagat will continue to bring rains over much of Luzon and the Visayas on Sunday even after Tropical Storm Inday exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its weather forecast, Pagasa said occasional rains are expected over Zambales, Bataan and Occidental Mindoro due to the enhanced southwest monsoon, with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and the Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms also caused by the southwest monsoon, which could trigger flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rainfall.
