Growing allegations of brutality, extrajudicial killings, extortion, unlawful arrests, and abuse of power by local security operatives now fuel concern across Anambra State. While residents acknowledge the gains made in tackling insecurity, many now accuse them of violating citizens’ rights with impunity, raising questions about accountability, respect for the rule of law, and the impact of such actions on public trust in the agencies established to protect them.
