The Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo State, on Saturday, produced the youngest chairman in its history as 30 years Anthony Osarobo won the election.

Osaeobo who contested under the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged as Chairman-elect after polling 98,994 votes across the council’s 10 wards.

The Returning Officer for the election, Dr. Arodoye Nosakhare, announced the result at the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC) Local Government Collation Centre where he said Osarobo defeated 11 candidates from other political parties.
