The All Progressives Congress has won all the 18 chairmanship positions and the 192 councillorship positions in last Saturday’s local government election held across the state.
Announcing the results at the Secretariat of the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission, its chairman, Jonathan Aifuobhokhan, said the noticeable hitches were not enough to affect the outcome of the exercise, urging anyone with grievances to seek redress through the legal process.
The electoral commission chairman commended the electorate for turning out to vote and Governor Monday Okpebholo for giving the commission a free hand to carry out its duties.
He said the winners would be given their certificates of return on Monday.
