Finding the culprits in the 2010 arson attack on a Marfin Bank branch in central Athens that killed three employees was the state’s obligation to the victims’ families, and to democracy itself.

Friday’s arrest of two suspects in connection with the crime vindicates all those who kept the memory of the tragedy alive for so many years and did not allow the horror to disappear into oblivion. But it also showed that method and persistence can bring results.
