The number of people killed in the Russian airstrike on Sumy has risen to five, while the number of injured has increased to 31.

According to Ukrinform, Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Hryhorov reported the update on Telegram.

"Unfortunately, a severely wounded man has died in hospital. The number of fatalities caused by the Russian glide bomb strike on Sumy has risen to five," the statement said.

According to Hryhorov, the number of injured had initially risen to 30, with five people in serious condition. Doctors are providing the victims with the necessary medical assistance.

Later, the Prosecutor General's Office reported that 31 people were injured.
