FC Barcelona has submitted a fresh bid to sign 18-year-old Belgian winger Jesse Bisiwu from Club Brugge, with the La Liga club’s sporting director Deco now personally steering negotiations. The renewed offer, reportedly around €10 million, was rejected by the Belgian side, which is holding out for a higher fee and a significant percentage of any future resale.

The deal on the table

Barcelona’s interest in Bisiwu first surfaced earlier in 2026 but went cold in June when Club Brugge’s asking price proved too steep. July brought a change of heart, or at least a change of strategy, with Deco re-engaging directly.

Bisiwu is considered one of Belgium’s most exciting young talents. He’s a left winger known for explosive dribbling and a high-energy style that fits Barcelona’s preference for building squads around promising youth rather than expensive veterans.

Club Brugge isn’t budging easily. The Belgian club wants more than €10 million and a meaningful cut of whatever Barcelona might eventually sell Bisiwu for down the road.
