Violence against healthcare workers has become an increasingly common occurrence in hospitals across the country, and it is by no means confined to incidents involving members of Roma communities. The state must act swiftly to strengthen security and implement effective protection measures, ensuring that medical care can continue uninterrupted while safeguarding the safety and dignity of doctors, nurses and patients alike.
