Data center firm HyperDataGrid is looking to build a facility outside Lufkin, Texas.According to KLTV, HyperDataGrid is developing a data center on Highway 103 West, on the site of the old Northern Chip Mill, a former 40-acre timber facility on Ben Dunn Road.Angelina County Judge Keith Wright told press that the company has secured electrical and water agreements and begun clearing land.Angelina County is located between Houston and Dallas, near the border with Louisiana. AmpZ is looking to develop a data center campus near the city at the Southland/Abitibi Paper Mill site.Texas-based HyperDataGrid aims to develop high-density liquid-cooled data centers. The company says its facilities will use closed-loop systems and direct-to-chip cooling that can support up to 600kW per rack. On its website, the firm says it could bring its 20MW facilities online within 12 months.The company is also known to be developing a 20MW facility in Parsons, Kansas. On its website, HyperDataGrid lists plans for two facilities in Texas, but provides few details.
