A village was ordered evacuated in northern Greece Friday and residents in another two villages elsewhere in the country were warned to prepare for possible evacuation due to wildfires, authorities said.

No damage to property or injuries were immediately reported.

A push alert sent to phones warned residents and visitors at Inoussa near the town of Serres to evacuate towards Neo Souli.

The Fire Service said three water-bombing aircraft were deployed to help 49 firefighters and 16 fire engines on the ground battle a blaze burning through forest and farmland near the village.

Separately, another push alert was sent urging residents and visitors to be prepared to leave Ipsomata, in the Diavata area near the northern port city of Thessaloniki, should the need arise.
