P500,000 in suspected shabu seized from 2 drug suspects in Albay

LIGAO CITY, ALBAY, Philippines — Police seized nearly P500,000 worth of suspected shabu from two alleged high-value drug personalities during an operation in Malinao, Albay, early Wednesday.

Police Colonel Noel Nuñez, Albay provincial police director, identified the suspects only by their aliases, “Leo,” 36, and “Tina,” 36, both residents of Malinao. They were arrested at around 12:35 a.m. in Barangay Estancia.

He said operatives from the Provincial Intelligence Unit, in coordination with the Malinao Municipal Police Station and the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit, were conducting casing and surveillance operations when the suspects allegedly attempted to flee and bumped into a police vehicle.FEATURED STORIES
