U.S. President Donald Trump has a positive view of the Ukrainian military, which is why he took notice of Pavlo Palisa, the deputy head of the Presidential Office, who represents the army in the Ukrainian delegation.
According to a Ukrinform correspondent, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement while speaking with journalists, responding to a question about Trump’s remarks—before his meeting with Zelensky, Trump had called Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palisa a “great hero.”
“This isn’t the first time Pavlo has been part of the delegation and we’ve had a meeting with the American side. I understand President Trump. He really always speaks positively about our military,” Zelensky said.
He noted that the U.S. president often emphasizes that he seeks peace and recognizes Ukrainians as a strong people and nation. The head of state noted that Trump speaks respectfully of the Ukrainian military.
