U.S. President Donald Trump said he has a “very good relationship” with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, although that may be hard to believe after their first meeting in the Oval Office.
The White House chief made this remark during a press briefing while meeting with Zelensky on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
Trump mentioned a “very positive” phone conversation with Zelensky on the eve of the summit.
“We have some very good stories to tell,” the American leader said.
He expressed his conviction that the President of Ukraine is seeking a resolution to the war. At the same time, Trump expressed the view that Vladimir Putin also “wants to see a resolution.”
