Bellville South High School murder: Disciplinary actions persist despite flight rumours

MURDER CASE: Bellville South High School

The Western Cape Department of Education (WCED) will continue with disciplinary processes against a learner who allegedly killed a fellow learner, despite unconfirmed reports that he fled the country.

The learner in question is alleged to have killed a Grade 10 learner at Bellville South High School on 11 June 2026.

The victim died in hospital from injuries suffered after he was reportedly beaten over the head with a broom.

It is alleged that the victim and the accused were involved in an argument over a stolen cellphone.
