The Lagos State Forum of Local Government Chairmen of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) has unveiled plans to intensify grassroots mobilisation and membership recruitment across the state as part of efforts to position the party for victory in the 2027 general elections.
The resolution was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of a strategic meeting of the forum held on Thursday, where party leaders reviewed the progress of the APM and outlined strategies for the next electoral cycle.
In the communiqué signed by Olanrewaju Ayinde, chairman of the APM Lagos State Forum of Local Government Chairmen, the party said it would focus on strengthening its structures across all 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas (LCDAs), extending its reach to wards and polling units.
“The Forum reaffirms its commitment to aggressive membership recruitment, voter mobilization, and the consolidation of party structures across all 20 Local Government Areas and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State down to every single wards, and polling units. We are determined to build a formidable, grassroots-driven movement capable of delivering decisive victory for the APM in 2027,” the communiqué stated.
