After leaving the field on a stretcher and receiving oxygen, the former Liverpool captain was taken to hospital in Mexico City and didn’t travel back to Kansas City with the rest of Thomas Tuchel’s squad. He only returned after scans revealed that an operation was required and the surgery was carried out at Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute on Wednesday.“Surgery done! Let’s get ready for the big one Saturday,” Henderson posted on Instagram with a photo of him with surgeons Kenneth Unruh, Mark Winston and Kirk McCullough.
