Greece’s food safety authority has ordered the recall of a stuffed chicken roll product after routine microbiological testing detected the presence of salmonella.

The affected product is Gemisto Rolo Kotopoulo – Yfantis, with a weighed date of June 24, 2026, and a use-by date of July 8, 2026. The contamination was identified during random microbiological inspections carried out as part of the Hellenic Food Authority’s (EFET) 2026 food safety monitoring program.

EFET has ordered the immediate withdrawal of the entire affected batch from the market and is urging consumers who have already purchased the product not to consume it.

While most people recover from salmonella-related food poisoning within a few days, young children, older adults, pregnant women, and people with weakened immune systems are at greater risk of developing severe illness.
