Morning!" Jon began.Justin then explained: "[This is] a really popular swimming point. I don't think you can see any swimmers out there at the moment, but there are some. And as you say, the Met office is forecasting this really extreme heatwave."The cause is very clear. The clear sunny weather that brought those record-breaking heatwaves in May and June has obviously driven up the surface temperature of the water. But it comes against a background of climate change, driving up average temperatures to the sea over decades."Justin's report was soon interrupted as Jon noticed a swimmer who had emerged from the sea behind him.Jon said: "Justin, we're sparing a thought as well for the chap who's just emerged from the water behind you."Justin then engaged in conversation with the man, asking: "How was the swim? Was that a good swim?" The man replied: "Lovely. It's really warm this morning.""It is really warm. We're just doing a thing on ocean temperatures," Justin then said, just as the man blocked his shot in front of the camera."Yeah, he says it's really warm out there, Jon," Justin laughed, with Jon quipping: "Alright mate, thanks!"Back in the studio, Jon and Sarah were left in hysterics after the unexpected interruption. Jon said: "He's going to get home, isn't he, and his family are going to say, 'Did you realise?'"Article continues belowA speechless Sarah added: "That was brilliant! You couldn't make that up!" before Jon concluded: "Proving that the water is a little warmer at the moment."BBC Breakfast airs daily on BBC One at 6amChoose Daily Mirror as a 'Preferred Source' on Google News for quick access to the news you value.BBC BreakfastBBC
