President Cyril Ramaphosa says his government is actively engaged in ensuring that the livelihoods of all traditional leaders in South Africa are protected through competitive salaries, allowances, and medical benefits on par with other public servants.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has revealed that his administration is actively working to ensure that all traditional leaders in South Africa will receive salaries, allowances, and medical benefits on par with other public servants. This commitment comes amidst an intense push for electoral support as the ANC gears up for the upcoming elections.
On Monday, the ANC leader took to the ground in the Chris Hani region, where he spearheaded the party's election and volunteer drive. His engagement with supporters follows meetings with local traditional leaders, a move aimed at galvanising grassroots support ahead of the upcoming elections.
Addressing the party's ground forces, Ramaphosa reaffirmed the ANC’s commitment to service and community development as the party gears up for a vigorous electoral campaign.
Accompanied by Eastern Cape Chairperson Oscar Mabuyane, the president visited King Dalindyebo Matanzima at Qamata Great Place in Cofimvaba, solidifying ties between the ANC and traditional leadership. This outreach is crucial as it aims to enhance collaboration in serving communities and achieving developmental goals in the province.
