Despite the Kremlin's denial of media reports suggesting that Russia is planning hostile actions against Poland, Moscow's statements may be deceptive, as the Kremlin used similar rhetoric before launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, Polsat News stated this in an article.

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski made the remarks in Warsaw on Monday during a meeting with Polish ambassadors. He was responding to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, who had dismissed reports about possible Russian provocations against Poland as "Western propaganda" and an attempt to "demonize Russia."

Sikorski said that Russia had made exactly the same claims just weeks before invading Ukraine, when it categorically denied any intention of attacking the country. He added that Moscow had also previously denied that the "little green men" in Crimea were Russian soldiers and had absurdly claimed that anyone could simply buy such weapons in a store.

According to Sikorski, as long as Ukraine continues to defend itself successfully and inflict significant losses on Russian forces, Moscow lacks the capability to launch a large-scale offensive against the West, including Poland.
