Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Monday inaugurated projects executed by the management of Osun State University.

The governor also installed the Chief Executive Officer of Bovas Group, Mrs Victoria Samson, as the third Chancellor of the university.

Adeleke, who had earlier inaugurated the university sports complex, a three-in-one laboratory complex, a 500-capacity lecture theatre and a 750-capacity lecture theatre within the main campus of the institution in Osogbo, described Samson as a capable successor to the immediate past Chancellor, Apostle Folorunso Alakija.

The governor further disclosed that the immediate past Chancellor served the institution with uncommon grace, generosity and commitment, noting that through her exemplary leadership and philanthropy, Modupe and Folorunso Alakija Medical Research and Training Hospital, fully funded by the Alakija Family, was donated to the institution.

“Though her tenure has come to a successful conclusion, her remarkable legacy shall remain an integral part of the history of this university.
