The management of Osun State University, on Thursday, officially presented the instrument of appointment to the Group Managing Director, BOVAS & Company Ltd, Mrs Victoria Samson, as the new Chancellor of the university.
The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Odunayo Adeboye, who presented the letter on behalf of the Osun State Government and Governing Council of the university to Samson in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, said, “The appointment reflected Samson’s achievements in business leadership, philanthropy and national development.
“The institution and the state government are optimistic that Mama Samson’s leadership and experience would further strengthen the university’s global relevance and academic advancement.”
Reading the appointment letter signed by Governor Ademola Adeleke, Adeboye said, “Samson’s appointment took effect from May 10, 2026, for an initial term of five years.The appointment is in recognition of Samson’s accomplishments in business leadership, service to humanity and contributions to national development.”
