The head of the Varna branch of Bulgaria’s Agency for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre, Eng. Krasimira Bozhkova, has been dismissed following the controversy surrounding the illegally built "Baba Alino" complex linked to Oleg Nevzorov. Bozhkova, who had previously been temporarily suspended, confirmed at a news conference in Varna that she had now officially received an order terminating her employment.
She explained that the dismissal order was issued on Friday and delivered through the secure electronic delivery system. According to Bozhkova, the decision contradicts the findings of the agency’s Disciplinary Council.
“The dismissal order was issued despite the opinion of the Disciplinary Council at the Agency for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre that these buildings could not be refused registration, because there is long-established court practice on the matter,” she said.
Bozhkova announced that she would challenge the dismissal in court, arguing that the contents of the order differ from the issues examined by the disciplinary panel. She said the reasons cited for her removal were an alleged lack of oversight regarding the Baba Alino case and a delayed response to correspondence from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
