KFC Africa says it directly employed more than 40 000 people across 22 sub-Saharan African countries in 2025, according to the company's inaugural impact report released this week.
The report, titled Impact, Served Daily, details what KFC says is the social, economic and environmental impact of its operations across its network of 1 573 restaurants.
According to the report, KFC Africa plans to expand its footprint to 3 000 restaurants by 2035. The company estimates that each new restaurant creates 35 direct jobs and supports about 100 additional jobs through suppliers, logistics companies and local service providers.
KFC Africa general manager Akhona Qengqe said the company viewed business growth and social impact as interconnected.
