A 40-year-old head constable was killed in a road accident at Kanjanur near Villupuram on Sunday (July 5, 2026) night.The police said Panchamoorthy, attached with the Prohibition Enforcement Wing in Gingee, was riding his motorcycle to Villupuram when a lorry rammed his vehicle at Kanjanur. The accident occurred at around 7.30 p.m.He died en route to the Government Villupuram Medical College and Hospital.
