Madlanga Commission is forging ahead with evidence linked to Deputy Crime Intelligence head Feroz Khan, despite his absence as he remains in hospital after being shot in Johannesburg last Sunday.

Madlanga Commission is pressing ahead with damning evidence against Crime Intelligence Major-General Feroz Khan despite his absence.

Khan, who remains in hospital after being shot several times on June 28, was implicated during Friday’s proceedings in claims involving fraud, corruption and other alleged misconduct.

Commissioners heard that the inquiry would continue reading evidence into the official record while he is unavailable.

A central focus of the commission has been Khan’s alleged relationship with controversial businessman Ishmael Vally.
