Its transition to upper-middle income country (Umic) status on July 1st 2026, is a recognition of decades of reform efforts underpinning sustained growth, job creation, poverty reduction and resilience.

It is a moment to congratulate the Filipino people and the Government of the Philippines for the hard work and determination that brought the country to this point.
