USA captain Georgie Perris-Redding faces Bok Women's skipper Babalwa Latsha at the coin toss. The Women's Eagles skipper agreed afterwards that discipline had been the biggest difference between the sides at Ellis Park on Saturday.

The USA Women left Ellis Park disappointed after Saturday's 34-21 defeat to the Springbok Women, but coach Jack Hanratty believes the bruising encounter delivered exactly the kind of examination his side needs as they build towards the 2029 Rugby World Cup.

The eighth-ranked Eagles were overwhelmed in the opening half, trailing 29-0 at the break after struggling to match South Africa's physicality and discipline. Although they rallied with three unanswered tries in the second half, Hanratty admitted the damage had already been done.

"They're a very good rugby team and they fully deserved their win," Hanratty said.

"They've always been physical, but they've become really intelligent as well. They're very well coached and they've fully bought into what they're trying to do."
