The Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council has called on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu, to ensure the arrest of individuals declared wanted in connection with alleged killings of its members, as the police chief visits the state.

In a statement issued on Friday by the Head of its Media and Publicity Committee, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, the campaign council welcomed the IGP's visit, expressing confidence in his leadership and commitment to rule of law ahead of the state governorship election.

The council urged the IGP to ensure that criminal investigations in Osun are conducted diligently, professionally and without interference, stressing that justice for victims of violent crimes is necessary to restore public confidence in law enforcement.
