ACCORDING to captain Siya Kolisi, the world champions have not been paying attention to the noise but simply keeping their mind to their game ahead of facing England at Ellis Park on Saturday.

If Siya Kolisi can replicate the form he displayed in his eve-of-match press conference, he is certain to win Player of the Match at Ellis Park on Saturday in the Nations Championship game between the Springboks and England.

Kolisi was midway through the customary Friday press conference he holds with assistant coach Mzwandile Stick when a missile was sent his way from a visiting reporter from England.

He was asked for his opinion on the infamous incident in the 2023 World Cup semi-final where England flank Tony Curry accused Springbok hooker Bongi Mbonambi of an insult that was a mixture of crude swearing and racism. Curry, by the way, is starting at Ellis Park against the Boks.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” a deadpan Kolisi said, before adding, “I’d honestly forgotten about that.
