The Coimbatore Corporation on Friday intensified enforcement against civic violations by imposing penalties for roadside waste dumping and mosquito breeding, while also clearing illegal posters from public spaces across different parts of the city.A private firm’s owner was fined ₹10,000 after waste was found dumped along Siruvani Road in Ward 39 under the West Zone. Corporation officials took action as part of measures to curb indiscriminate disposal of waste in public places.Separately, sanitation workers removed posters pasted on roadside walls and other public spaces along Palakkad Main Road at Idayarpalayam in the South Zone during a cleanliness drive.In the East Zone, a health team inspected an under-construction building at Mohan Nagar on Kalapatti Main Road in Ward 8 and found mosquito larvae breeding on the premises.
