Russian forces are attempting to increase pressure along the entire line of contact, stepping up activity even in sectors that had previously remained relatively quiet, including the Velykyi Burluk area.
The Spokesperson for the Joint Forces Grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Tregubov, said this during a television broadcast, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"The enemy is indeed trying to create pressure along the entire line of contact. In our area of responsibility, this includes attempts to open new sections along the Ukrainian-Russian border, including, for example, attempted incursions toward Hraniv and Kozacha Lopan directly north of Kharkiv across the border. They are being pushed back there, but we are already seeing that they are trying to advance from every direction," Tregubov said.
He noted that Russian troops are also attacking in areas that until recently had been considered relatively calm.
"They are even trying to resume offensive operations in the Velykyi Burluk area, which had remained relatively quiet for quite some time. They are actively advancing in the Kupiansk sector, on both the left and right banks of the Oskil River, especially on the left bank. And, of course, our most active combat zone remains the Lyman sector," the Joint Forces Spokesperson said.
