Barely two months after entering Nigeria’s crowded e-commerce market, digital marketplace 2Clicks Nigeria says it has surpassed 100,000 downloads and more than 100,000 active product listings, a milestone it believes reflects growing demand for affordable online selling platforms among small businesses.
The company said its rapid growth has been driven by a business model that allows sellers to list products free of charge, a move that is intensifying competition in Nigeria’s fast-growing digital marketplace sector, where many platforms charge listing or subscription fees.
Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos, Bakare Olaoluwa, country manager of 2Clicks Nigeria, said the platform reached Google’s top 10 shopping applications in Nigeria within three weeks of its public launch, describing the early traction as evidence that entrepreneurs are seeking lower-cost digital channels to reach customers.

According to him, 2Clicks was built to remove one of the biggest barriers facing Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) by providing unlimited free product listings while giving businesses access to professional digital marketing tools.
