An Nvidia-powered AI supercomputer has been delivered to Yerevan State University in Armenia.Comprising 64 Nvidia H100 GPUs, the government-funded supercomputer is expected to support research and development whilst helping to modernize education and training across Armenia. The system was installed within existing university buildings that were retrofitted over a six-month period, with the facility now able to host additional compute capacity in the future. The infrastructure was delivered by Legrand, which was awarded the tender for the €3 million ($3.4m) project last year. The company integrated power protection, power distribution, cooling, racks, and monitoring systems into the university buildings and installed the system – including setup, maintenance, and power supply connection – in the space of a month.Legrand said the AI supercomputer is the “largest and most comprehensive data center solution” that the company has delivered in the Commonwealth of Independent States region – members of which, alongside Armenia, include Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.“We are proud to have partnered with Legrand on this strategically important project,” said Ashot Berudjanyan, corporate solution engineer at ART-Group, a Legrand partner and Armenian UPS service center. “With several new data center projects planned in Armenia from 2026 onwards, we look forward to continuing our collaboration.”
